After researching a similar error messages, attempting to open a default page. SharePoint recognized something on the page as ‘unsafe’ thus preventing the page to open. In a nut shell the solution was to deleted a unsafe ‘error web part’ on the page with the assistance of appending ?contents=1 to the url.
